“ABYSS” sofa in mint and ocean blue velvet
When you look into an abyss, the abyss also looks into you.
The abyssal zone or abyssopelagic zone is a layer of the pelagic zone of the ocean. "Abyss" derives from the Greek word ἄβυσσος, meaning bottomless. At depths of 3,000 to 6,000 metres (9,800 to 19,700 ft), this zone remains in perpetual darkness. It covers 83% of the total area of the ocean and 60% of Earth's surface.
Looking to the depths of the ocean to dream up a dramatic new sofa, that introduces the majesty of the big blue to the interior.
Like all of KABINET’s designs, the Abyss Sofa is a conversation piece as much as a functional one. This new design is concerned with depth and creates a geological cross-section as mesmerising as the ocean.

The Ocean into Your Living Room.
This fun yet classic pouf is indeed a celebration of the Romanian sculptor Constantin Brâncusi’s contribution to modernism, referencing one of his most celebrated work, Infinite Column. High-grade plain weaves of wool, mohair and long-haired alpaca created in northern France are selected after much consideration for not only its fine quality but also to echo Brâncusi’s lifelong career in France.
A curated composition of sculptural furniture, rich textures and expressive patterns. Deep blue upholstery, bespoke coffee tables, a statement sideboard and Pierre Frey-inspired textiles come together in a dialogue of colour, form and craftsmanship.
